Compare your measurements to identify a likely body silhouette.

Where exactly do I measure?
  1. Shoulders: pass the tape around the widest part of your shoulders and upper back. Ask someone to help keep the tape level.
  2. Bust/chest: measure around the fullest part with your usual well-fitting bra, keeping the tape straight across your back.
  3. Waist: bend gently to one side to find the natural waist crease, then measure there without holding your stomach in.
  4. Hips: stand with feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
  5. Use a soft tape, measure over light clothing, and keep the tape parallel to the floor.
What if I fall between body shapes?
  1. Many people are between two silhouettes. This tool offers a visual proportion guide, not a strict body-type diagnosis.
  2. Your shoulders and bust may differ, so consider both when choosing jacket and dress cuts.

For general guidance only. Body proportions are descriptive, not a measure of health or worth. This is not a medical assessment.
